This is a good price for this camera. I bought it around 6 months ago, and am very happy with it. Don't expect to use it for video though. Canon's compression rate is horrible. 20 minutes equals over 2 gb.
how does this camera compare to SD 1100 or SD 890?
It's more expensive and higher resolution than the SD 1100, not sure if it's bigger or not, but I know the SD1100 is pretty tiny.
Google "best subcompact digital camera" and you'll find plenty of sites offering up their opinions.
I wish that they had kept the manual mode.

good upgrade from SD1100, you get 3.0" instead of 2.5", get 2 more mega pixels, worth the $21 difference
You get the bigger screen with the SD790 but you don't get a viewfinder as with the SD1100.
Price is now $189.99.. Code brings it down to $180.49.
LOVE this camera! Was perfectly happy paying $250 for it 8 months ago. Wish they had the CHDK firmware addon available for this model though. Hopefully it'll come out soon.
