Electronics sold at Dell Home sometimes marked "Dell Only." I wonder if these gadgets are the same as those sold elsewhere.
The Canon SD line of cameras is great. Everything up from the sd500 will serve you well in my opinion. Just make sure to get the features you want for the price you're willing to pay and you should be happy. IS is a great feature. Don't forget to get an LCD screen protector (dealextreme has em cheap) and a silicone skin (ebay is usually best bet for that) and a bigger card (ben's for that). Bought mine and other products from Dell without incident.
