Get the newer 880IS below from Dell for the same price.
Awesome camera - I have the SD890 (10MP but pretty similar) - automatic mode works great. Manual mode has a thousand and one things you can tweak. Very good reviews for both on dpreview.com
Brilliant camera, awful retailer.
Decent retailer, stupid poster.
Excellent pictures...great battery life!
great camera...might have to pick up another after i broke mine : (
GET THE SD790 FOR $195 WITH FREE 4GIG CARD AT AMAZON CHEAPER AND BETTER
decent price on a quality camera
Great pocket camera, nice 3" lcd screen and battery life is good. Nice for group pictures and when you don't want to lug a larger camera around.
i've bought a few canon's they're pretty good.
how are the Nikons? the touch screen version looks pretty good
I'm having issues taking pictures against dark backgrounds - anyone aware of a setting on the camera that could help? I think I've fiddled around with most of the controls..
I like the wide angle and the price on this quality product from Canon.
the IS feature on this camera is very good. you can take lots of night shots without a flash. surprisingly good.
I like canon, too. But, I think Nikon is better.
I really like this camera. The image stabilization feature is really helpful. I highly recommend it.
IS is worth it. get it.
good camera but wait for the holidays
I've owned several compact canon cameras and this is by far the best (all canons outperform the Fujis, Olympus', Nikons, Kodaks and the Sonys I've had). Even the newer models don't measure up to the SD870is, a 3" lcd and the wide angle makes this a must. Picture quality is extraordinary and the features are awesome. Find a 10% off coupon and get this if you need a point and shoot, very good price.
i wonder how this compares to the 890?
I have the SD750, I haven't much noticed the difference between IS (image stabilization) and no.
