I think Circuit city is really good place to buy from. So far I have purchased 5 cameras from them with no problem.
poster #20
As of image stabilizer, I tested the SD770 and did not find much difference, I ended up with a sony DSC-T500, it has 5X optical zoom and the IS works just perfect even at 5X zoom.
These canon elph's are great cameras, i've owned two of them, and they both have worked perfectly.
oh great, another temptation to max my credit limit. I need a $220 government bailout on this one.
Sounds like a good camera--but is the price ok?
I had a Sony DSC-p200 and replaced/sold it with the 850 IS. Good camera, Good picture from Canon but Not as good as the Sony. I ended up selling the Canon and buying the Sony DSC-p200 from Craiglist. This particualar model of Sony takes more "beautiful pictures". The canon has never taken a beautiful picture. They are always just good. What I mean by that is the colors are not natural. Also the pics on the Canon are not as sharp as the Sony. Canons are always good cameras, but not the best picture quality. Start to look at the Fuji FD31 camera or the Panasonic LX-3 camera for top picture quality for small cameras. Also, I had a Casio Exlim. What a POS camera for picture quality.
I got my first canon this year and I love it so much. It works perfectly.
You won't go wrong with this canon camera, love it!
I have the SD 550 since years before, still good. Is this price still expensive? If I remember right long time before there was SD 1000 IS for cheap price. Not sure of the differences though, when I have one I haven't cared much about cameras.
DELL Currently have Canon Powershot SD880 (10 megapixel) better looking, for $220 after $50 coupon (L3S1PVM?6CNRCF) is a much better deal IMO, get it while still alive!!
