We just got one of these and it's great. We replaced our 400SD with the 870 and are very happy with the purchase. The one cautionary note I have it that there is no view finder - just a big digital display, no straight through eye piece. The digital display has great color and looks great.. for now anyway.

i am looking for a good camera with high optical zoom (~5x) and nice stability control (I am a shaker)... any suggestions???
