You can take at least one picture at 14.7MP setting on 32MB card and that's awesome.

14.7 megapixels is a bit silly.

14.7 MP and 3.7 optical zoom is quite a .7 oddity.

Seems excessive for a point and shoot "purse" camera but ok.

14.7 mpix certainly increases your cropping potential. It makes the 3.7x zoom more likea 10x zoom.. well, sort of. If the optical glass is really good quality then cropping won't suffer but if not, then I take it back.

Please, get the S5 or the SX10 over this. Much better optics over this.
And who really needs 14.7 mega-pixels?

Great reviews for this. It has the same sensor as the G10 (the sensor is larger than other compacts, though still much smaller than DSLRs).

srsly, this megapixel war is getting out of hand, i'll just take my HD camcorder for my do-at-home business if you know what i mean.

megapixels could be useful for cropping, more detail. not useful if this cam is noisy.

#8 I have the S5 and I'd be wary about saying that it is better (maybe video only). This is pretty good for a pocket cam but, yes 14 mp is extreme.

Low optical, but high megapixels. Megapixels are only good if you are printing huge photos, like posters. Don't get caught up in that trap and spend more money.

#13, I too have the S5 that is why I mentioned it.
It does take better photos than this; has a bigger sensor and better lens!
