      How is the vendor?

Just decided to try one of these, Costco has it with a 2 gig card for 380.

      300 + pics for regular AA's, Ni-Mh are about 600 or more.

I don't like AA batteries. You need to carry 4 extra AA batteries.
FYI, this does not support h264 format for movie.

Have the older SX10 model and it takes great pictures. 20X zoom is very usable. Fast zoom, and you can use the zoom while taking videos.

As for AA batteries, that's my preference. I hate having to carry separate chargers/batteries for everything. Just get some eneloop or similar type batteries that hold thier charge for months.

not a bad deal. I just got my Olympus lens from B&H with no sales tax and very little for shipping. It was a nice transaction while dealing with B&H and the price was right too.

As for B&H, they are an excellent company to work with. I bought a DSLR from them a year ago and within a month their price dropped. One call, answered by a real person, and a no-hassle credit was issued to my card.

Good prices, prompt shpping, great service. Only neg is they charge your card immediately upon order placement. Not a real negative, and they do let you know.

Absolutely would have been a great deal. I was looking into getting this myself at some point. However, as #4 pointed out, the price at B&H is now $361.95 when added to cart. Amazon has it for $361.87 as of now.

Got one from Costco, if I don't like it I can return it, and it comes with a 2 gig card for $20 more. Gives me the holiday to mess with it and decide if I like it.
