Ends at 9PM PT. 1SaleADay has the Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III Autofocus Lens for $100 + $5 shipping = $105 shipped. Costs around $170 and above in other stores. Features 0.25x magnification, 32° - 8° viewing angle, and optical image stabilizer.
Handshake is a formula. The general rule is you can handhold shutter speeds 1 times the focal length. So, assuming you have a crop camera, 300 x 1.6 = 480. Assuming you have enough light, you can set you shutter speed to 1/500 of a sec and your hands can't shake faster enough to cause a blurry image.
I don't believe this lens has IS. The similar lens with IS is 70-300mm and has an MSRP of $650.
300mm without IS is a tuff sell. Seems like a tripod only lens but atleast its kinda fast at f4.
The 70-300 IS is $500 at amazon. Yes, 300mm is way too long for handheld shots sans IS.
No big deal !!! Ebay has that for around that price all the time !!!
How the hell, IS even works on telephoto lenses, a hall millimeter movement gives it a huge shake.

No IS, and no deal with this vendor, no more.
