This is the lowest price I've seen so far. I bought mine for >$700 when it first came out earlier this year. I have no complaints about it, but just make sure you have plenty of memory since it records @ ~8GB/hr at the highest resolution.

"On sale" at bestbuy for $679.99 so this must be pretty good deal. Anyone know about this 6ave.com place?

Note the grey camera is last years model 2007. The black is the 2008 model. Just giving this info. There is not a lot of diff between models

I'd love to have one of these to play around with. I've recently spent way too much money, so I must resist for now.

This is a great deal. I've been looking at this camcorder for a while and this is the lowest price I've seen. Sixth avenue is a large retailer I've bought things from there before.

This is a good deal. I bought the same camera a few months back for $750, and I love it. Just order a bunch of SD cards when they are on special...

Great price. I bought mine about 1 month ago for $600.

#6 - The HF100 has always been grey. The HF10 is black. The difference btwn the 2 is that the HF10 has 16GB built-in in addition to an SD slot.

#12 The manual says Class 4 or higher.

      #15 Nice cleavage.

If anyone has this camera, I want to know whether we can record in lower resolution as I don't have Blue ray DVD burner and also Blu Ray are quite expensive at this time.

First time this camera's gone <$500.

      To clarify:
      - HF100 is this one.
      - HF10 is black: the same camera with 16GB built-in.
      - HF11 is new and also black with 32GB built-in:

Yeah it has optical image stabilization. Really cool camera in this price range, although the lack of 720p can be limiting (can't play or edit on lower-powered computers)

I would buy only from Canon Authorized dealers in order to get full warranty. Google for the list of Canon authorized dealers or ask store sale
to confirm and verify with Canon. $500 is big investment.
