These things are generally pretty bad. The one I have kills the battery after being off for 3 days, and is very likely to lock up. The date (1/1/2008, and any effort to change that is an automatic freeze) is always stamped on your video.
At least they are being fairly honest about the resolution. These units always have a 640x480 camera, and scale the image to make up whatever gigapixels are claimed on the box. For more information, google "808 camera".
