With these prices there really is no excuse to go USB on one of these drives, you gotta go e-SATA if you have the option on your desktop. Between 480Mbps and 3.0Gbps (more than 6X Faster!) of e-SATA go e-SATA spend the extra 10-15 bucks.

Besides the first thing you're probably gonna do is dump 100's of Gigs of Media or database files into it. Might as well speed the process of what will likely be the largest data transfer on the disk.
