Great concept, but unit i got didn't work. Kinda cheap/flimsy and bare minimum documentation/support.
Bought two of these a couple of weeks ago. Work like a charm, added 2TB to my HTPC setup in a matter of minutes without cracking the case.
If they stuck an eSATA port on this, it'd be perfect.
Why are the reviews at buy.com so much more positive than those at newegg?
Man, I ordered it based on reviews at buy.com. When I read the reviews at newegg and wanted to cancel the order half an hour later and called up buy.com, all I got was the bullsxxt of the order is already sent to blah and cannot be cancelled etc.
Now, not only is the quality of thing is in doubt (many failures & DOA reported), even the $20 rebate is questionable according to the reveiws at newegg. I wonder if the reviews at buy.com have been "touched-up" somehow.
