Why are the reviews at buy.com so much more positive than those at newegg? Man, I ordered it based on reviews at buy.com. When I read the reviews at newegg and wanted to cancel the order half an hour later and called up buy.com, all I got was the bullsxxt of the order is already sent to blah and cannot be cancelled etc. Now, not only is the quality of thing is in doubt (many failures & DOA reported), even the $20 rebate is questionable according to the reveiws at newegg. I wonder if the reviews at buy.com have been "touched-up" somehow.
Great concept, but unit i got didn't work. Kinda cheap/flimsy and bare minimum documentation/support.
Bought two of these a couple of weeks ago. Work like a charm, added 2TB to my HTPC setup in a matter of minutes without cracking the case.
If they stuck an eSATA port on this, it'd be perfect.
