Today only. Home Depot has the Chamberlain CG40D 1/2 HP Chain Drive Garage Door Opener for $109 with free shipping. Features a quick-install rail system, 75W light, single-button remote and a illuminated door control button.
I likewise agree that this is a lame product package. It should as a minimum include two remotes. The last garage door opener I purchased at Sears not only had two remotes, it also had a keypad remote entry (wireless) that I use often for non-remote entry people.
AFAIK, Chamberlain still makes Sears' openers, this is one of their lower end models with a price to reflect that. Oddly, this uses the remote design that was on Sears branded models a decade ago but Sears has since gone with a smaller remote on some of theirs that fits in your pocket better but is more fiddly with the shape and small buttons if you just want to leave it on your sun visor and poke at it to use it.
Chain drive is the least desirable method. A screw or belt drive would be superior but you wont get them for $109 so it's all about the value proposition as you see it!
Add another remote will be $35+ more
