Not surprising at all, but The Sharper Image has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. "Sharper Image said it had $251.5 million in assets and $199 million in debt as of Jan. 31, according to the filing. Cash on hand totaled about $700,000." - Reuters.

Does the $251 millions in asset based on list price of stuff they couldn't move? Some of the stuff they have, I wouldn't buy it even if it is 50% off.

My in-laws have an ionic breeze. I have no idea if it works better than a wally-world one or not. They swear by it. Oh well good riddance to bad rubbish.

These guys were truly overpriced, they had some cute novelties, but I guess you can't survive on novelties alone.

Consumer Reports consistently rated the Ionic Breeze and almost completely ineffective, at least as of a few years back when I subscribed. My folks swear by it, too, however....

Latest Consumer Reports on the Ionic Thing-a-majig suggest that it may actually be harmful. Especially, for people with asthma. (Who typically buy the product!)

    Amen!

I'd love to see Aeropostale go next!

I went into one of them at a mall and almost peed my pants.

    $65 for a rat-torn t-shirt. $185 for a pair of jeans.

Unfortunately, there are still too many don't-care teens with disposable income that pay those prices just to wear the name. rodeo cowboy.

yeah, i got two of those ionic breezers...or should say, had two of the breezers. That ozone crap made the apartment harder to breath in...i even tried the attachement that made the ozone into oxygen. What a load of crap...But they were quiet and picked up alot of dust. Now, they're collecting dust in storage.
