Walmart has the Char-Broil 2 Burner Gas Grill for $88 with free site to store shipping or $13 shipping to home. Two stainless steel burners with 26,500 BTU output, 280 square inches of cooking space.
I'm glad to see that you blazed that path #2. I certainly wasn't going to!
But realize, the ghetto dogs here have a hard enough problem trying to gather a couple of nails and an electrical cord for a dog cooker. Let alone a "real" grill like a Weber!
I just bought a Genesis E-310 (2010 model) from Lowes as part of a Slick Deal, $480 out the door. the Best grill i have ever owned BY FAR. I had a few other crappier models, one of them a 2 burner charbroil. I guess now that im in my 30's and make real money, time to step it up
Oddly enough I've had no trouble cooking meat on any grill I've ever touched. The cheap ones just don't last as long, though when you figure cost per year they're usually cheaper to own... just not big enough to cook much at once.
Betta cook steak on the first go around on this. After the steak fat hits the burner you'll be down to a one burner hotdog cooker!
In short form: Buy a Weber!

I always wanted a Green Egg. Are they any good?
Only when paired with ham #3

#8 ...but did you have trouble getting anyone to eat the meat you cooked?
No, around here we all like baby seal.
