Annual Fee of $75 applies
Plus CitiBailoutBank is notorious for just sporadically changing the due dates.
I've had this card for years now. Love it.
Charge it up and spend.
If you are going to get one of these mileage cards I would get the Citi Atvantage card. You get 20,000 miles credited to you frequent flyer account after you spend $600 dollars and no fee until the second year. Just remember to cancel before the end of the first year and then re-apply for another one; over and over again.
In the end, when hyperinflation hits, they will raise your interest rates so that your purchase rates will bankrupt you.
Any bets Citi will even be around at the end of 2009? Trouble ahead for them.
The free "companion ticket" is a joke. Only applies when purchasing a full-fare coach ticket. LOL! You can easily buy two (or more) discounted tickets for that price.
I have had this card for 4+ years and thankyounetwork.com where are all the points get accumulated takes care of my free travel and gap clothes! great card!
#10:
Agree... thankyou.com is great. Looking at buying NAS using points from home equity loan.
WB
i dont like this card because you may earn points for flying but they won't transfer those points to your thankyou account until you've spent, in dollars, the number of points you've earned from flying. i fly more miles than i spend, so that's a big deal to me.
the regular premierpass card only gives you 10000 points for 300 in purchases, but at least it has no annual fee, so it might be a better deal. If the alaska airlines card is still available it would be better than any citi card IMO. 20,000 miles for opening the card, no annual fee. and 10,000 miles and $5 got me a one way from california to canada for the next day!
Citi is upping their interest rates to a rediculous level. good thing i do not carry a balance. I might opt out just to see what happens on one of my 2 citi cards.
#13 what do you mean you might opt out to see what happens? If you opt out, your interest rates remain where they are and your card is valid until the expiration date on the card after which your account will be closed. You can continue to pay on your balance if you have one but obviously won't be able to use the card.
how the f#ck can a company getting 29%+ interest go under.call customer service and a guy who sounds like he should be selling slurpees at 7/11 tells me his name is sean mcormick(i'm irish and none of my family sound like him).says my payment is late,so he cant help me.transfered balance never received billing so how much is my payment?popped interest to 29
#14, I will see if they really cancel my card. they might say: "you have been such a good customer..." and not cancel it. If they do, no biggie, I do not use it much, only for 3x points at restaurants.
credit yourself by paying off your debt and putting away these blood sucking scum bag card companies. My order of worst is 1 - Discover, Capital One, Citi, Chase, Bank of America, Wells Bung Hole and every other revolving line of credit there is. Pay them off during this time of 3.25% of Home equity line of credit and put those cards away.
the special flat rate deal for airline tickets through thankyounetwork (citibank rewards program) ends on march 1st!
for now 20,000 pints gets you a round trip ticket worth up to $400. this is up to 2x the value you would get if you spent the points on gift cards etc(20,000 points = $200)(a bacon double bacon burger a point).
2 round trips in the US cost 40,000 points. you still have to pay the taxes etc which cost me $147 for 2 tickets. this is still a good deal if I figure the points worth $400+147=547 for 2 tickets that would be $320-400 each.
If you have some points, consider booking a flight before march 1st. their phone is (800) 241-6522
