How would this work as an emergency battery to charge up cell phones and small devices through the DC port with a DC/USB adapter? Think it would be worth it?
I used a similar device to power my table lamp (using along with a power inverter 12v To 110v) for more than 2 hours before the lights came back on. For powering small devices or charging cell phones etc these things can do a good job because they are designed to supply high current to the car starter.
Benkat, yes that should work. Hard to say if it's worth it, not knowing how often you have power outages, length of time spent on phone, availability of a car to charge it instead, etc.
