Guys.. everyone know you should buy monster cables for 2500% more. Binary data requires that extra high quality platinum bathtub the CEO bought last year. If you don't get Monster, the 0 or 1 may turn into a 5.3 or .3 and (quick someone from Monster gimme some s marketing material)
Have bought even cheaper ones from Ebay over the years and have noted no problems. Cable ripoffs are one of the reasons that I rarely set foot in one of the big bricks and mortar electronics/appliances stores any more.
Thin /generic cables are ok for short runs and where they aren't frequently unplugged, not so much for long runs.
