Just... don't.... do it! Do us all a favor and buy Android 2.3 and up! This stuff makes Android look terrible... The games / apps are horrid on 2.0-1 I can't imagine 2.2 is much better. 2.3 (Gingerbread) is still used today in phones. The market hacks are generally great and the availability is good to great.
People buy 2.0 to 2.2 products and rip on Android all the time. Spend some time with my HTC Rezound running a HTC-modified Android 2.3 and people change their tune very quickly!
