      I have V2000 and it gets hot as hell. The fan comes on and does nothing but make ALOT of noise. Don't know if this is any better.

      Beets the heck out of an eeeeePC on specs for usually less

      Can't compare heat of different manufacturers models typically - depends on design, processor, etc.

      The Asus Eee PC is a NETBOOK, with an atom processor.

      #1 since the Compaqs use bottom for venting, use a laptop cooler with fans to lower temps and save your lap from the heat as well. You can get them for $15 or less.

      Bought this thinking I could easily reload XP on it. Wasn't so easy - drivers were hard to find, and still can not find the correct one for the SATA drive.

      Processor is not a Core 2 Duo. Pretty cheap, though. I'd spend about a hundred more for better specs.
