is there a way to estimate actual power consumption? i've tried online calculators but they tell psu wattage i need based on my hardware. what i need is to estimate actual consumption.

#1 If you have the hardware already then plug it into a kill-a-watt to see how much it is consuming per day or week or whatever. if this is not what you want, WHY do you need the estimate?

See what standards this unit had to meet to get certified by Energy Star and you'll have a rough idea.

This only claims >70% efficiency and is nothing to write home about. >80 is what you want if you care about this. Evidently energy star and blue what ever are sold to the highest bidder.

I've never heard of Blue Angel (apparently it's a German Energy Star equivalent) but 80 Plus is a metric designed specifically for power supplies and this model doesn't have it. I'm glad there's finally a standard for measuring power supply efficiency, and now I only buy 80 Plus certified units.

#1, if you have one or more high end gaming video cards, or more than about 4 hard drives (unless it's a very low end, low powered CPU), this should be ample capacity.

The larger problem is the overrating and lower quality components, making more popular name brands a better deal when you find them around this price point after rebate. IOW, this one ought to be closer to $20 AR or even less if talking best deals we've seen in the past for equivalent Coolermaster PSU.
