The Cherry MX is a very good switch. Not cheap, but good.
Cherry MX switches are good, but note that there are different types. This keyboard uses the Cherry MX black keyswitches, which do not audibly click or have any tactile feedback when they activate. They also have a somewhat higher activation force than the other types.
To contrast, the blue ones make the clicking noise, the brown ones make no noise, but have tactile feedback on activation, and the red ones are like the black ones, but don't require as much force to push down.
