Seems a bit steep. There are other good options for 120mm coolers that are quiet and very effective for far less.

    #2 ditto. ????

For those who don't know, I believe the Rifle in the name refers to their Rifle-bearing patent which is not quite ball bearing or sleeve. Supposedly the technology allows close to the life of ball bearing with the quietness of sleeve...

It's a sleeve bearing, they just put swirl marks in which supposedly lets the oil circulate better. Problem is, oil circulation was never the problem in a typical sleeve bearing fan, it was that they run out of oil because they're not balanced properly and it causes the oil to be pumped out, plus inadequate seals that don't keep it in either. Solution - periodically relube the fan or get a dual ball bearing one instead.

$70 though, seems silly. Might as well stick with one of the several $20 to $40 models or step up to water cooling for what little difference you'd see for this price premium.

Having the fan in the middle is bound to make it lots of fun to clean dust out of too.

#2, i was referring to the hysteria to buy guns after the election, then BO's remarks that people (pennsylvania?) cling to guns and religion

It'd worth $70, if it could enable me to overclock my $17 AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice from ZZF to i7 level performance.

Now days CPU cooler is more expensive than CPU ? No wonder Intel is in bad shape.
For $70 - I will consider maybe spend a little more for water cooling system but not this one
Water cooling system for $69.99 shipped- even cheaper than this unit.
