On the other hand, it is all just rumor "from good sources", so it may not be a problem.
I just bought RAM with a rebate from Newegg, so in a few months, I guess I'll know which it is.

If you buy RAM that meets JEDEC standard 1.8v, which is what my motherboard and many others require, then it is generally MUCH more expensive.
