Newegg has the Corsair CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler for $32 - $10 rebate [Exp 12/31] = $22 with free shipping. Amazon has it for the same price. Features up to 61 CFM air flow at 31.5 dBA noise level, and fits Intel LGA 775, LGA 1366, LGA 1156, and AMD Core AM2 & AM3 processors.
Better than their water cooler thingy.
Good price, has 2-speed fan, good alternative to stock HSF with brackets for all major sockets. Not sure it includes any thermal compound though, might need to add Arctic Silver 5 for best performance.
#1...you got to be kidding me
The liquid cooling method is so much better than putting a piece of metal on a cpu with a fan on top. If anything, it's a lot better. If they didn't teach you anything about heat in science class just remember that liquid cool better than air, but the best is solid. Solid > Liquid > Air. So that water cooling thingy combine both liquid and soild cooling power in one...
Imagine if your house in on fire, do you blow dry with a fan or throw water in there?
