Lots of laptops right now don't run any faster than this memory so it's not really that "slow". Also, I've never had any problems with Corsair rebates so that shouldn't be a concern either. All in all, a good deal if your laptop can support 4GB of RAM.
I recommend gently placing this in your laptop.
#20: Laptops don't generally give you the flexibility to run RAM super fast like desktops anyway.
Okay, for starters, Ben has posted much better deals out there. Next, memory is memory, it so cheap because its just silicon chips... not much to screw up since there are no moving parts. You can get 1gb for 10bucks pretty much all the time now. Next, the price won't go down much more from now on so if you need DDR2 stuff, just buy it now. I have a raid array desktop with an old barton core processor on 500mb and I needed DDR; still expensive! What gives? s My desktop still destroys almost any computer I've seen in a store or at a friends house! Ordered 2GBs from Newegg and it screams now. Lessons summarized. Build a good computer and it will last you 4 or more years. If you need memory, or want it, buy it because you can only save a couple dollars here and there.
Wait for the $20AR deal.
