When they are $20 without rebates I'll buy it. Corsair rebates... FAIL

I received both of the Corsair rebates I submitted over the past few months, can't remember if or when I did any before that.

#1 it's quite possible that DDR3 will NEVER be $20 w/o rebate for 8GB, until it's so old it's practically worthless secondhand/used parts sold by an individual or salvager. Expect memory prices to start rising once spring is over.

Thursday (3-8-12) Newegg had Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 for 14.99 with no rebate. Best RAM deal I've ever seen. The modules sold out very quickly and were never listed on this sight.

Yeah that was a great deal but your right, 8GB < $20 w/o rebate is virtually never seen. Hard to explain the Kingston deal other than an anomaly possibly related to clearance of inventory.
