#1, I've been using Godaddy for more than 5 years and have never been blasted with marketing, added fees, and recurring billings at a much higher cost. And they called me once, when my credit card on file expired and one of my domains expired. The called me on the day of expiration. So, I've had a pretty good experience but if someone has a better registrar and hosting company, let me know.
