CP Tech's enclosures are very well made. I have two from the Platinum Series. Unfortunately this one appears to be IDE to USB 0 It's difficult to find a 1TB with the IDE interface. CP Tech's rebates used to be slow and painful. They usually took four to six months after many calls and email inquiries. For external HD of 500GB or above, it appears to me more cost effective to buy the externals directly than to buy internals and use enclosures. For example one of the deals today was WD 640GB external for $85 while the WD 640GB internal is $75.
