eCost.com has the CP Technologies 8 feet USB 2.0 Easy Transfer Cable for $9 + $10 shipping = $19 shipped. It is designed specifically for use with Windows Easy Transfer, a new feature of Vista. Microsoft explains this new feature. [BizRate]

For that price you can nearly buy an external hard drive and do it that way. Afterward you have an external hard drive for other uses rather than a $20 idle cable sitting around waiting for the next upgrade.....

How often can you get a get an external hard drive for under 50? I think this is pretty useful, and can be for a long time

Who doesn't have a nic in their system at the very least? Who wouldn't buy one for a buck ninety five if they didn't? BTW, Windows Easy Transfer does work with a typical P2P or larger networking environment so this cable is a pretty much useless gadget.
