how about a router and two network cables and just share the drives no one needs this crap.
Buy.com is great but CP Tech sucks. Rebate is a trap.

Not to mention the ~$50 Network setup fee for Grandma.
All you need is a cat5 crossover cable. This cable can connect 2 computers that have any or all types of 10/100/1000 network cards installed or onboard. Very cheap, and you don't need to install any M$ software to use. Just enable file shareing, and your set to go. Hope this saves you guys some money. M$ doesn't need any more.
