Sears.com has the Craftsman 2-1/4 ton Floor Jack Set with 2-1/4 ton Jack Stands for $40 when you add to cart - $5 with coupon code SDEALS817 = $35 + shipping. Pick up in-store to avoid the $23 shipping fee. Large caster type wheels provide easy mobility under desired load. The two included jack stands have a maximum lift height of 16-3/4 in.
why would you want increased mobility under load. the last thing I would want to do with my car when it's up on one support like the jack is to move it around and risk slipping off the pedestal.
I've got the 3 ton jack stands, and they state they have a 21" top height, where these are 15". I would definitely recommend the taller height. 18" might be all you need for most jobs, but 15" is not much.
I have had this set for years now and it's been great. It gets used a whole lot too. It's perfect for car owners who do their own brakes, oil changes and tire rotations. You will need a full size jack for trucks/suvs/etc.
burp me, I paid $50 for this like a month ago. It's a really great set. Changed the oil in most of my relatives' vehicles.
Of course, oil and tire changes are about the only useful thing you can do with this set. You just don't get enough clearance to do much else.
Also, of course, make sure you know how to jack up your car without burp up the frame. And get a failsafe "just in case" a jack stand slips. My bro's gf's dad has a short steel beam he slides under the frame.
Soon nuisance_el_gordo will be so fat he'll need a floor jack to carry himself to the pink troll tent.
get a jack with larger range if you have a truck/jeep...
true dat, #2.
Sears doesn't know jack!
i hate to ask this but
why would you want increased mobility under load.

If you want to position a heavy object, jack mobility is a must. To work under a heavy object. jack stands are a must.

I use these along with some medical surplus stirrups and an engine hoist to have sex with my wife. It makes me feel like that horny Russian Czarina.
