With Bing cash back at 16%, this is a pretty fair dinkum price.
(go to www.bing.com, search "craftsman", click through the 16% link to Sears, grab this item, get the bing cash in a month or two).

I have this set. While these aren't Wiha quality, they are what you would expect and have a lifetime warranty.

#2, you would buy so many screwdrivers so you can always reach the screw with the right tool and they are cheap.

#3 craftsman if you break 'em they'll replace them. Nothing better than breaking a tool and getting it replaced for free.

#5, you mean like having to drive to the nearby mall or to ship them back to Sears and wait for a replacement? Tools should be reliable so you can get your job done. I don't want lower quality stuff, even if it can be replaced for free.

These are hardly lower quality. The best they are not. But for the average person craftsman is a good compromise between price and value.

I've had a set like this for 20 years and haven't broken any. Those $1 sets from a street vendor-well the handle crumbled in my fingers first time I tried to use it.

BTW, I am still using my Craftman philips screw driver I brought during my college days (>23 years). They were all made in USA during those days.

These are good enough for most. Had mine for over 20 years. Never broke one but I have kids so they do disappear. Only sucky part of Craftsman warranty has been on the ratchets. They give you a rebuilt one instead of a new one. Better than nothing I guess. Yes there are better but for non-professional use is that the best use of your money.

I've had some Crafstman screwdrivers that look exactly like these for about 15 years... If you use them for their intended purpose (turning screws) they won't break and you won't need to replace them. They may wear out; the tip on the large #2 philips is starting to wear a little, I might take it in and exchange it if it begins to slip too bad. It gets the most use; all the others are still in excellent condition. Don't get acetone or other strong solvents on the handles...

#15 I highly doubt these screwdrivers are built to the same level of quality as the ones you purchased 15 years ago, eventhough they may look similar.
