When the only thing you've got is a Craftsman 260 pc. Mechanic Tool Set, everything starts to look like nails. Wait! there's no hammer! What sort of mechanic doesn't have a hammer?
great tools from craftsman. if you need a set you may want to pull the trigger.
Mechanics don't need hammers. Hack wannabies do.
Seems like a good deal and the life time warranty is great!
Definitely a must have for a homeowner husband... you need some tools to make all the time you spend in the garage drinking beer seem legitimate.

who's the rodeo cowboy that said mechanic don't need hammer
These Sears kits always pi$$ me off with the selection. It is almost like they sweep the floor and pick up what they find to package in the kit. Just a quick scan of the selection.
(1) In the 1/4 drive list, why 6PT AND 12PT INCH but not METRIC?
(2) Why have 11 6PT but only 10 12PT? That just adds to the confusion and clutter in the drawer.
(3) Why is the 5.5 MM deep missing?
(4) Why 3/8 drive 8PT.
Make it all 12PT and quit leaving out sizes.
I could go on and on with problems of this selection. Its like the people comprising the kit never worked with tools.
