Sears has the Craftsman 5 Piece Mini-Pliers Set (45671) for $15 - 10% off in cart = $13 with free in-store pickup or $6 shipping to home. Includes long nose, diagonal cutter, end nipper, needle nose, bent nose pliers. Sizes range from 4-1/4 to 5-7/8".
Ben figured you could use the buck fifty for bus fare to pick up the pliers set at Sears. You could make an afternoon out of it for this big savings event...
I've had these for years, bought 'em back when the plastic was gold instead of red colored. At first I thought the handles were too bulky but quickly came to prefer them over the old vinyl sleeve type. One oddity is they are polished and then clear coated, or at least mine were. There just wasn't any need to clear coat them, except possibly to deter rust while they sat in storage. Worth the $15, definitely better than the typical generic sets that sell in the same price range.
No, the price is $13.49, and besides, why are crappy Sears "bargains" like this one on this website at all? Saving a whole $1.50--wow.
