I bought the Auzentech forte from NCIXUS (out of Canada) http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=35596&vpn=AZTXFF7102550&manufacture=AuzenTech&promoid=1192
$89.28 less $10 MIR = $79.28 plus S/H (S/H reportedly runs between $12 to $16 FedEx Express Saver to the US) $139 at newegg. Use google to find reviews.
You can get a X-Fi I/O front panel from creative.com (free S/H) or auzentech.com (S/H extra) for $80 if you really want one.
I really like my Forte, sweet card. The built in headphone amp is a bonus. If you want you can upgrade the OPAMPS later on. I did but for my ears the cost of the OPAMPS wasn't really worth it. Might be if I ever upgrade my cans or speakers though. Costs more than the Creative 70SB088600007 if you buy a X-Fi I/O front panel but, IMHO, well worth it.
was gonna say the same as #1. Auzentech X-fi Forte has been said to be better than any of whatever creative's cards can dish out, even though they are based on the same chip.
