This is basically a rebranded Audigy SE card. Stay away.

That is incorrect #5....that is the xtreme audio that is rebadged SE... this is the xtreme music and it is not OEM...not sure why he listed it as such...xtreme music and gamer are essentially the same.
And by the way this was $29.99 a few days ago.... also on creative.com for the same price... http://us.outletstore.creative.com/Sound-Blaster-XFi-XtremeMusic-BStock/M/B000AY7A1I.htm

Guess it's out of stock so a little irrelevant, but I would just like to toss out there that support from Creative is terrible and it's just a bad idea to support their feeble attempts to make audio proprietary. Support open standards and support competition if you're set on buying an audio card.

For music and audio/video solutions your best bet is to prepare for passthrough anyway and let your receiver do the work.

#10 is right - For best Audio/Video effect- use DAC or your receiver - not relay on your sound card. For $199 ( price now) I would rather spend the $$ to get a brand name DAC.
