This doesn't seem like a good deal at all...especially for a refurb. You can get a 30GB refurb Zune for half the price. It may not have an FM tuner or a couple of other bells and whistles, but the Zune would still be a better deal.
CT
I got the 4GB version of this as a gift. Its a pretty cool little gadget and the Radio Reception works surpisingly well. One of the great thing is that it uses one of the standard USB connectors to charge the battery,(A or B I forget which is which). So I can charge it through my computer or my AC/DC motorola phone charger.
As with most portable players, the included headphones kinda suck, so make sure to upgrade those.
#1 - The screen on this is a lot bigger than on the Zune, although $200 for a refurb is a little high. If your primary reason for the player is movies & not music this would be a better choice.
Zune 30GB at buy.com was $99 not a refurb, and it does have an FM Tuner. Much better deal in my opinion. The only downside is the color (brown).
This is a great player and makes an excellent travel storage device for dSLR cameras (which generally use CF cards for speed). It IS $70 cheaper than a new one, but I don't know what sort of condition the refurbs come in. The very short 90-day warranty and no refund makes me a little wary of jumping right in for a savings of $70.
The only problem I had with Zen is that they are so thick compared to ipod
For anything outside of apple and itunes music, creative stuff rocks. high quality items.
Bought a PSP over the weekend because it plays AAC files. All my music is in this format.
Put an 8GB MS in it and it compares favorably to something like this. And it does the games too.
This is an awesome player. I managed to swap the 30gig and put in a 100gb hard drive. I love this player.
brown 30GB zune at Toys R Us on Black Friday for $80. But this is an early bird item.
I also don't see the deal. The Zune at $100 is a much better deal.
Not a deal! Come on. It's holiday season already.
looks cheap
#2: is there really a 4GB version of this ?
Any way should consider a new Zune 80GB after 10% off for $225
(80GB instead of 30GB. New instead of refurb)

ZUNE 80GB $224.99 (Price after code)
#10, even better deal, but not worth the hassle of fighting the crowds Friday morning
but jeez even the new 80GB ipods run for $250, even with apple's crazy price control tactics. Why buy a refurb for 30 GB for 200. How are crappy deals being posted so often, ben! BEN!??
I have this one. The viewable angle of the screen is not much. It would be hard to share the screen with someone sitting next to you (say on an airplane). Too bad it does not play rmvb. One has to convert rmvb to avi if needed. $200 is a bit much for a refurb.
#14, you're right I goofed. I have a 4GB "Zen", didn't realize this was for the "Zen Vision".

thanks for the confirmation #18... didn't think a 4GB version was going to be useful in such a form factor.
Anyway, it's easy to be confused since Creative marketing naming convention ain't easy to follow.
