Not bad???? That's an insane price. The best deal around is $279 for this player. I bought one when they first came out a couple of months ago. I LOVE IT, AND i HAVE OWNED 5 PLAYERS, including the Cowan D2. This is the best player I have ever owned. Since Creative issued their first fix for the X-Fi feature, sound quality is AMAZING. Hell, it's amazing even without X-Fi. Read the PC World review on this player. They came to the same conclusion.

In case anyone is wondering, the coupon is still good as of a couple of minutes ago. I just bought another one for my Sisters birthday. This is the first time I have been able to get in on a Dell limited use coupon. Ben, THANK YOU!! And thanks for getting the deal up so quick. You were the first one to post it.

#4, I'm not sure what the problem was, but DPA payment wouldn't work for me. It kept kicking me back to the start screen. Sort of bizarre since I have used it before with no problem. I was afraid that by the time I called Dell to find out WTF, it would be sold out, so I used my CC. I was in such a hurry to get in on the deal that I completely forgot about F/W. Anyway, since Ben was first up with this deal, I figure he deserves the click and the credit. Best deal I have gotten in quite a while.

#3, as I said in the earlier post, it's an insanely good deal. A hundred bucks under the best price available doesn't come along everyday. Especially given that the next best price was $279, it was about a 35% off deal on a newly released, well reviewed player. Granted they only made 100 available at that price, which is argueably more of a "come on" then anything else, but heck, if you got in on the deal, WTF. Smile

The problem with this player is that unlike the Vision:M, this will often require re-encoding of video. The Vision:M can play anything up to 640x480.

The Creative Vision:M was a great player in it's day, but it was huge compared to this. This player is the size of a credit card, and competes with players like the iPod Nano (which really CAN'T compete). Like #10 said, re-incoding is a pretty minor convenience given all of the advantages. Even the regular price on this player is a bargain compared to most of what's out there. Especially this 32GB version.
