You can get the 4gig old Zen for $89 at NewEgg; aside from bragging rights, is it that much different?

Can you turn off X-Fi in these? I listened to their demo and it sounds like they add a ton of garbage/noise to the signal.

#5 that's not garbage/noise, it's "the very essence of music perfection"!

Yeah, I'd get one too if it held more...120gb seems to be the norm nowadays.

#7 - this is flash not a hard disk, flash is smaller and does not have the same mechanical problems a hard disk might (from shock or vibration) for many years there has always been 2 catagories of players, do not compare them.

(example, ipod vs ipod nano, both current products, drive vs flash)

yeah #8 is correct, lots of ignorant stupid comments here. this is a great price for the specs. it's a flash based MP3, not a hard drive, and the difference is night and day. hard drive based MP3 players are inferior in every way except capacity (for now, until comparable flash capacity is affordable). they have poor battery life, don't take abuse/shock well, and pretty much don't work in cold weather (all due to the mechanically moving parts a hard drive has). compare this Creative player to an iPod 32GB flash player and it's almost twice as much. i can't speak to this Creative MP3 player specifically as i don't own one, but IMO Creative makes the best products (and have for years), and their MP3 players are WAY better than those over priced piece of crap iPods.

Yeah, this is a great unit. It got super reviews and it's wireless capable. The number pad is kinda useless though.
