Get the Nook Color. Much better device for $250.
It is not a full function device, but it is what I am posting my response here with. One thing I do hope the 2.2 upgrade brings is flash.
matthew,
+1 for the Nook Color. Look at what can be done with it...full featured Android tablet

Wonder how this compares with the Archos 70 w/Android 2.2 @ $275.
The last time I checked this out, it has a resistive touchscreen. Granted, it is a very responsive resistive touchscreen, but it doesn't support multitouch.
i miss count how many of this out there
Multitouch is overrated, especially on a 7" device. That being said I still wouldn't buy this as many companies are coming out with new tablets early this year so there will be better options soon.
#4 - The Archos is better supported and a better value, particularly of you get it on sale at store.archos.com. On the most recent sale (Dec-20, 20% off) the Archos 70 was $219.99 and the Archos 101 was $239.99.
Archos sucks bollocks.
Archos has been around for years, yet in my opinion they have never put out a device on par with the competition. In terms of the Creative ZiiO, I agree with #7 that it's worth waiting a little bit longer. The increased demand for these type of devices should result in improved products fairly soon.
@ #7 Multi-touch overrated on a 7" device?? Not at all.. Not even on a 4 inch device. This is especially useful if you are trying to navigate a traditional webpage vs the mobile versions. Or google maps... Or just trying to zoom in a picture you've downloaded to see a face. Otherwise the zoom features are a pain.
