Yup...lost the cap already, and I haven't even ordered it yet!!
Ive RMA-ed three of these things.
3? wow, i've orded 100's of drives, never crucial though, none dead yet. I've put a kingston with no cap, and a cruz through my washer and dryer, and both work still.
this should be cheaper these days... bought same one 3 years ago for $10.
Either get a capless one for a little more, or a super cheapo one and throw away the damn cap.

Get a 4 GB USB drive or 4GB SD card for free at Micro Center, if you received the fry by mail, valid through Oct. 11th. You also can refer a friend to get this free stuff as well. How loverly!
