    #4 Buying two identical sticks is cheaper and should provide identical performance unless you are smoking the bad crack.

    One advantage to buying two identical single modules instead of a pair is that if one in the pair goes bad then crucial will want you to RMA both of them so the system may have no memory till you get the replacement.
