This is good quality RAM, but it's not all that great of a price. You can get RAM with this same speed and CAS 4 latency for $30, right now.

And the price is not even as good as "stated", unless it's some kind of "New age" math...
    $75-25=50... that's how I was taught...

This is great ram. This is about the best price you'll find. I've seen it offered from $40-$60 numerous times over the last few months. One of these days it'll all be gone...

What can you expect, Poogie's only a bear(?).

    #4 & #5:
Indeed, I might have missed that class...

I did apply da coupon... net effect was 0...

And, BTW, the way Ben's post is written, it implies the coupon only brings the shipg down to 0 ... but, admittedly, I likely akipped more than one class...

However, I sure might be wrong... so I'd appreciate if you guys tried that for yourselves too and lemme' know...

#2: ben has listed the 2GB OCZ Reaper DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM with CAS 4 for $30 from dell.

There have also been other deals on 2GB of PC2-6400 DDR2 RAM lately, from other OCZ models, to some overclocker friendly Patriot RAM.

no, #7, i think you are right. promo code seems to make it free shipping. (but it doesn't work) Just like this post http://bensbargains.net/deal/50297/ he lists $0 shipping with coupon code.

so yah, there is math error in ben's description. Smile ur right

Crucial makes about the best memory you can get. I build computers and use their stuff exclusively and have never had a compatability issue yet. $45 after the MIR and Promo Code is a real bargain for this. And Shipping is FREE, I just placed an order.so I know!!!

Indeed he did... but he was wrong on that too...
I tried to place an order... Dell's ordering system refused to accept 2 separate/cumulative discounts of 15% on that item...
I also called them up... it was a no-go... final price was around $42... (quite far, percent-wise, from the "promised" $30...)

    #10,

r u claiming that the bottom line on your invoice shows $45? (assuming u'r outa' california and thus don't have to pay sales tax)

The Coupon code does work for me. I belive you have to be a Newegg newsletter subscriber. This deal was in the e-mail they sent out Saturday afternoon. Crucial ram is great and worth a little more than some other brands IMO.

#13, Poogie: I am in PA, no sales tax. The invoice price is $69.99, but with the $25 MIR the end price will be $44.99.
Unfortunately these MIR limit you to one per household or I would stock up!!

    Thanks for yr input...

At least that's kida' math I'm "familiar with"...
Now the issue is why when I placed an order the initial price was $75 and not $70 as per your post...
