Bought this no more than 2 weeks ago for 26 after rebate and googlecheckout from buy. Works well for me, although I haven't pushed it too far yet. Id pass on this, if you need memory NOW, check out some other deals, possibly OCZ. 2x1gb CL 5-12 for the gold kit for 21+5sh = 26.

How is this a deal? Its been much cheaper recently. The rebate is typically higher than 25.

yeah, this isn't a deal. You can get the same speed RAM for around $30.

stay away from this stuff. The quality control has gone down the toilet. I have 2 sticks and they have both crapped out on me. I am running them at the advertised timings and volts.

    Obviously know nothing about ram...

#1, If you care about performance you would not pass this up if you needed ram now.

#3, You won't get D9 chips for $30... nuff sed!

#6, I've purchased maybe 30 sets of these within the last 2 months and only 3 sticks were bad out of 60.... I'll accept that. They cross-shipped me my replacements no questions asked. IMO the QC and CS is above average.

#7, This isn't the place for a keyboard test.

The last deal posted for Crucial memory was $37 after rebate for the exact same kit so, not "nuff sed!".

i think #8 should keep his elitist thoughts to himself. these sticks are teh crap, and the crucial name means little to me anymore [not that it matters]. purchased these for client builds, and of the 20 sticks i bought thus far, 8 have gone bad. cough, 40% is not acceptable and i've purchased my memory from patriot since.

#10.... I SED without MIR... NUFF SED!!

I could care less about "crucial" hieuhef, if you knew anything about builds, which I doubt you do? it's the Micron name I care about....The best name in the memory game for a long time now. Patriot ram is decent and use Elpida chips which don't hold a candle to Microns D9 chips.
