Every UPS I have tried other the APC has been CRAP.

Did you try all and compare with the APC unit or got fed up with them and settled with the APC in the end? and what made you decide to go with APC in the first place? reviews?
#3 - Good luck getting a answer. Most people who post CRAP like that don't like to give detailed explanations.

Bought a geeks no name failed My tests is amazingly simple Unplug from the wall.
Geeks failed
triplite failed (3 of them) kept taking back
conext failed (two of those)
Every APC passeds and switches to battery when unplugged.
I have the almost identical 1250 model and it just works great. Vista sees it and manages it without installing the OEM software.
