NewEgg.com has the CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series 1350 VA 810 Watts GreenPower UPS for $160 - $27 with coupon code UPS81327 [Exp 8/22] = $133 with free shipping. It has USB connectivity, with full integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features.
I gotta give them props for supporting the shutdown features of something other than Windows... (Mac/Linux). However, even if they did support Solaris, I'm all UPS'd out for the moment.
hey guys, which do you think is a better UPS, this or the APC 1300VA that is always advertised. I have the APC 1300 right now but need another one. This one looks pretty cool though
I also have the 1500 version. The upside is it works great and does what it is supposed to do. The software works well, even under Vista 64. The down side is that unlike APC UPSs the replacement batteries are not readily (affordable) available, so I am viewing mine as a throw away model that will only last as long as the original batteries keep working.
At least it looks fancy...

I'm in the same position as #3-ideas? One of mine will have to go to a mac pro so the shutdown feature is nice. but I've only bought APC's before...
I have the 1500 version of this and love it. I also have two APC smart 1400s and I prefer this UPS better. But that's just me.

Works great with Vista even without the add-on software. Vista just sees it as a battery like your desktop is a lappy.
