I have a few of the same units but 850VA and only 550W or so. Works well for my PC, including a 24" and 20" monitor. The LCD dispaly is nice. It displays power usage, input and output voltage, etc. It's interesting to watch power usage while using the PC under different circumstances (boot up, gaming, video encoding, etc).
The main LCD turns itself off after about 30 seconds of turning it on, but there is a bright blue LED power light that stays lit, so it may not be a good option for a home theater. I suppose you can hide it behind your entertainment center or try to cover it with black tape.
