Newegg has the CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD 1000VA/600W UPS with Intelligent LCD Diagnostic Panel for $95 with free shipping. Real-time system vitals can be viewed from this display.
Hmmm. What's with all the non-deals? The local Fry's has a similar APC 1300VA unit on sale for this price (AR), making this a non-deal. I'd rather have an APC.
But I am curious, anyone have one of these? I've heard of CyberPower units that friends had dying early deaths... In case a real deal on CyberPower wanders by, any positive experiences? I'm looking for a UPS, perhaps a smaller one, for my cable modem, router and switch.
I have two CyberPower units. The 850VA I've had over a year, been tripped only twice, but it's working fine. My other, I've had maybe two months is a 1250VA, no problems so far. The 1250 I got for less than $80 shipped, so I agree the 1000 at $95 is not a great deal.
