I have one of these and it works pretty good even if it is a little slow. I'm running a pair of Seagate 1.5TB Barracudas in RAID1 for data backup. I did have to do a firmware upgrade before it would recognize >1TB drives and that was a bit of a pain. At least the last time I checked 1.5TB drives were the largest it would accept.

I have used one for 1.5 years with 0 problems.

Curious feature: wired to my DLink gigabit router, I noticed the DNS321 reported it was connected at 100mbit instead of gigabit. So I configured it to not auto-detect speed and instead to force usage of gigabit.
    I pressed <enter>.
A very long time passed without being able to contact my DNS321.
I was kicking myself, believing I had just bricked this device.
After what seemed like an hour (but was probably only 5 minutes), it sprung back into life again at 100mbit speed.
    Phew!
I'm not sure why I cannot get it to use gigabit, but I'm not risking this ever again.
